Frequently asked questions
Q. How much is your service?
A.Depends. For a free estimate e-mail me at
Q. Can you match stock paint?
A. Yes, but it's very expensive. Motorcycle manufacturers do not give their paint
formulas out like auto manufacturers do. Buying stock motorcycle paint often
doubles the price of a job. It can still be done though. A
custom color is the less expensive option, even pearls and candies.
Q. How long does it take?
A. Depends how busy I am. Currently I do my painting at a bodyshop in a
professional booth. Unfortunately, it's not my booth, so my work comes
second.
Q. Why should I choose you instead of a local body shop?
A. Honestly, price. I learn everything I do from professional painters.
I use all the same techniques and products they use. I don't deviate
from what is proven and what works. I have NEVER had a returned
product due to my work or products.
Q. How does shipping work?
A. Unlike other places that make you pay the return shipping, I pay when you
get your work done at The Sanding Shop. You pay to ship to me and I take
care of the rest.
Q. What do you use to make the repairs?
A. I plastic weld all cracks and deep scratches. I use as little body filler as
possible. I NEVER put fiberglass on plastic, it does not hold up over time.
Q. What kind of paint do you use?
A. I mainly use House of Kolor(HOK) for custom work. I am a certified BASF R-M
Diamont painter as well. I am very knowledgeable and capable using both
products.
Q. Where can I see all the colors you can paint?
A. If you are in or near Memphis we can meet up. I have a color book with chips
of all the HOK colors. If you are not local you can go here. I would suggest
finding a local paint shop that has the HOK color book to get a more accurate
idea of a specific color. Some colors look different in the sun and in person.
You probably would not have a problem find a local supplier that carries HOK.
Also, I have access to ANY stock color on any vehicle.
Q. Do you accept paypal?
A. Yes.
Q. Do you offer a guarantee?
A. Yes, I do. I guarantee your work will be satisfactory, or I will do it over for
free. I guarantee my work against peeling, fading, or repair failure as well. My
reputation is going to fuel my business and I know that. If I want ANY business
I have to put out excellent work, and I do.
